CHI Pärnu brings together equestrian athletes from nine countries

Next weekend, the sixth edition of the international equestrian festival CHI Pärnu will begin at Maria Farm in Pärnu county. The event includes World Cup stages in dressage and show jumping, as well as international combined driving and eventing competitions. Athletes from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, and India will take part in the event.

The opening weekend of the three-week competition series belongs to the dressage riders, who, alongside other competition classes, will compete for points in the Central European World Cup League. The World Cup class, the freestyle to music, will take place on Sunday, May 17.

During the second week, show jumpers begin their two-week competition period, with the World Cup stage taking place on Saturday, May 30. While World Cup points are awarded in one show jumping class, the Longines Ranking will also gain additional points through the Grand Prix with 145 cm obstacles, held on May 24. The second competition week will also feature the international eventing competition, culminating in the exciting cross-country phase scheduled for Saturday, May 23.

During the third week, combined driving athletes will join the show jumpers in competition. Drivers will compete in three disciplines: dressage, marathon, and cones.

In addition to international athletes, the top riders and drivers of Estonian equestrian sport will also be present at the event.
